Mrs Chia Swee Tin is a Peacemaker.

Swee Tin, a Justice of the Peace (retired), is a mediator with several organisations. She is a Master Mediator with the Community Mediation Centre (CMC), an Associate Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC), as well as a mediator with the Tribunal for the Maintenance of Parents, the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE), and previously of the Eagles Mediation & Counselling Centre (EMCC).

Swee Tin possesses extensive experience mediating matrimonial disputes, including divorce and maintenance mediation in the Family Justice Courts. She also mediates relational conflicts at the State Courts. An Advanced Practitioner Member of the U.S. Association for Conflict Resolution, Swee Tin has conducted many training sessions in both mediation and counselling for commercial and civil organisations when she was with the EMCC.

Wearing multiple hats, another of Swee Tin’s role is with the Casino Regulatory Authority (CRA) as its Patron Dispute Committee member. This is in addition to her public service as a Review Committee Member of the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). One feather in Swee Tin’s cap is her highly sought-after status as a Solemniser for couples embarking on marriage. Swee Tin has blessed many couples over the years and many of them have made her their good friend.
